Brava: Government provides more than three million escudos for the rehabilitation of the Cultural Center of Nova Sintra

According to a press release, the government has transferred the sum of 3,331,030 Cape Verdean escudos to start the rehabilitation work on the cultural infrastructure in the town of Nova Sintra.

The money has been made available by the Ministry of Culture and Creative Industries of Cape Verde, as part of the partnership established with the Brava City Council, with the aim of starting the work to renovate the space.

The signing of the program contract formalizing this institutional cooperation took place at the beginning of February this year, in Nova Sintra, between the Minister of Culture and Creative Industries, Augusto Veiga, and the Mayor of Brava, Amândio Brito, in the presence of the Prime Minister, Ulisses Correia e Silva.

With this intervention, the government is reaffirming its commitment to enhancing cultural infrastructures and promoting access to culture on all the country's islands.

The rehabilitation of the space should provide the island of Brava with a more modern and functional cultural center, dedicated to artistic creation, performances, cultural exchanges, training activities and other initiatives to enhance the arts and cultural heritage.
